Getting to Squaw Valley

Amtrack’s California Zephyr is one of the most beautiful train trips in North America. As you course through plains and climb through snow-capped mountains, you will find it hard to disagree.

The Zephyr runs daily between Chicago and San Francisco, through Nebraska to Denver, across the Rockies to Salt Lake City, and then through Reno and Sacramento into Emeryville/San Francisco.

During the months of February and March, Key Holidays presents The Reno Fun Train through Amtrak. The train departs from Emeryville, Richmond (BART Connection), Martinez, Suisun and Sacramento and arrives in the heart of downtown Reno. The Reno Fun Train allows you to get the party started before you arrive to Reno with a unique experience all while leaving the traffic and airport hassle behind.

There is no greater way to get to Reno Tahoe than to let someone else do all the driving. With a variety of bus options available, you can kick back and enjoy the ride. The Bay Area Ski bus is an excellent way to get your runs in without the hassle of driving yourself. Sleep on the way up there and get dropped off right in front of the lodge on this all-inclusive service. Visit their website to reserve your spot today! Silverado Stages offers daytime and overnight service on its Silverado Mainline route between Las Vegas and Reno. Other charter buses to Reno include the Megabus and  Greyhound.
